Should I have an AED where I work?

A co-worker or customer suddenly passes out at work. If he or she just had a sudden cardiac arrest, here to two awful statistics to consider:

•   95% of cardiac arrest victims die before reaching the hospital

•   For every minute that effective care is delayed, the survival rate declines by 7-10%

A person has their best chance of survival if an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) can be delivered to the site of the incident within three to four minutes. There is no doubt that lives are saved by having AEDs and trained responders available.
