Heartsaver Skills Assessment

Certified by the American Heart Association.

American Heart Association offers a blended alternative to traditional classroom training. With blended training, students receive the cognitive information required for CPR/AED and/or First Aid via AHA online training. Students then must complete a hands-on skills practice and testing session with an AHA instructor before they receive certification.

This item is for students that have already purchased their AHA online training elsewhere. Students who wish to purchase the complete blended training package from Southwest CPR should click on one of the links below:

While we recommend that first-time students take classroom training, blended training is often a convenient alternative for those who have routinely received this training in the past.

Once the online portion of your training has been completed, print a copy of your course completion certificate. You must present your certificate at skills assessment in order to receive your certification card.

To schedule your skills assessment, CLICK HERE to access our class schedule. Click on any Heartsaver Skills session to register. You can also call us to schedule a special skills assessment appointment for a modest additional fee. The assessment takes 1 to 1-1/2 hours, depending on your skill level. Bring your printed certificate to the skills assessment.

Upon successful completion of the class, a two-year AHA certification card is provided.
